Minnesota and Wisconsin OOTD

Welcome back to Ghaneethebugblog.blogspot.com! It has been awhile since I stopped blogging and I apologize in advance for  causing anyone to worry.  As you know, I am in my final phase in my teaching credential and each day I've been bombarded with work to complete.  I am constantly meeting deadlines after deadlines.  It's no joke! For today's post. I've decided to to an OOTD post on what I wore in July when I visited Minnesota and Wisconsin over the summer.   On the day of the flight I wore a daisy print crop top with loose black drawstring pants.  I topped it off with black wedges.  You can't see it in the picture, but I venture off into something new with my makeup.  I outlined my eyeliner with a blue eyeliner . DAY 1: OOTD Light Blue Button Up Distress Denim Shorts Silver Choker Nude Pumps I couldn't believe how green the landscape was!  On the days I was in Minnesota, I went out for a morning jog wi...

Hmong Music Festival 2017

The HMF or Hmong Music Festival happens once a year since 2012 when it was first showcased.  This event brings Hmong people from different communities all over the world together in one spot for an enjoyable, fun, and cultured event. The idea of attending HMF was last minute for me.  It was not until noon that I decided to tag along with my cousin and her wonderful boyfriend who visited from Michigan.  I knew attending this event would help me connect to my community more which is something I have been doing in the past year.   Since it was last minute, I was not aware of all the different mini events/vendors going on at the HMF.  The Fresno Fair Grounds is where the HMF was held at.  Inside, there were the typical vendors selling raffles, selling clothes, food, and jewelry.  I arrived at 2 in the afternoon and spent two hours at the food court area.  Later, I found out there was an area where a fashion show was being held.  By th...

H&M Haul

When it comes to shopping for clothes, I spend the majority of my time browsing online at Asian clothing influenced websites.  The one I shop the most at is  Yesstyle.com  since it carries a variety of clothing I see from my Korean Dramas.  During a local Farmer's Market, I sneaked into H&M to cool down from the heat outdoors and that was when I saw the clothing pieces I have been obsessing over: Ruffles!  I purchased 6 tops circulating the idea of ruffles. Piece 1: This first top is a plain white ruffle collar with coordinating ruffle sleeves.  It is simple and can be layered with trench coats or vests.  You can even add a sweater over the top during colder seasons.  P.s.  I accidentally deleted the photo of me modeling the shirt.  Piece 2: This top is a transparent and breezy.  I am in love with the detailing of the ruffles on the sleeves.  It is shorter and cuts in a V-shape. ...

Mikasa Beauty Brushes

Welcome back to my blog! I am not being paid to do a review on these high-end makeup brushes.  These are my own opinions, words, and thoughts.  I did however become an a part of  Mikasa Beauty 's' Affliate program which means if you all would like to order a set from this brand, you will get 25 percent off your purchase by using my code GKAVANGMUA25.  With all this being said let's get started! This is my very first high end makeup brushes I have ever own.  I would only be comparing it to the set of brushes I ordered from  Amazon  around four years ago.  The link of a similar item I bought will be inserted in a hyperlink above.   A plus from the packaging was the description each box have on what the purpose of each brush was for. I bought the Mikasa 10 piece - complete eye set.  The huge difference I noticed from these brushes from the one I have been using is how soft they are....

Removing Red to Brown

I was mistaken when I thought blonde hair took a lot of maintenance.  Red hair is unbelievably more work.  After one wash, half of the red stripped out while the other half underneath turned into a red brown color.  Trust me it was not cute! After Before I bought a ion  Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent dye  to cover up the uneven hair.  It turned my hair color a very vibrant red-orange color.  I waited two days before I washed my hair again as I already knew all the dye will wash out and leave me with faded hair.  Below are pictures after washing out the dye.   My red orange hair journey was short lived.  I was determined to get my hair back to what I originally had it; balayaged. I used everything from the ion Color Brilliance brand. Day 1 1.  My first step was to darken my roots.  I used the shade 2NN. 2.  I dyed the rest of the ends a 5A with the blue ion color booster to tone out the oran...
